|
|
Hey people,
So I have been speaking to an old friend of mine about Necrovore demo pressings, etc.
He tells me of an unreleased, but official, version of the demo that has a blue colored logo on the cover and some different sounds on the tape. For example, the songs all have studio noises before them, etc.
Does anyone else have info about this tape? Anyone else heard about it? I hear it's stupidly rare!! By the way, I have seen it (and from a reliable source), so I know that it's real.
Cheerio. |

Don't know about this, but I just want to say that somebody should just officially release this fucking thing on MCD/MLP already. If it's so historically important, then it should be readily available to anyone who wishes to hear it. |

I am not sure about visual differencies (I know only of white logo), but YES. There exists two mixes of the 1987 demo (4 track demo). |

This was on eBay briefly being sold as HYPER RAR OOP DSP on a $100.00 starting bid WITH a reserve by the user Expeditor. It was then taken down so I assume someone made him an offer he couldn't refuse. Good demo but it needs a fucking rerelease. |

It's been released on vinyl (PICLP) as a split bootleg with SARCOFAGO (which I need!!), but it does need a proper official vinyl release, a must! I've given up on NECROVORE's return though... Another band I'm totally fanatical about, just as much as Order From Chaos. _________________ Glorious Dawn Upon The Plateau Of Might Now Burns!!

That split PIC LP with Sarcofago is rare however the sound isn't that great (despite being a PIC LP).

I ordered one of those PICLPs from Costa when he had some several years back, but they were gone by the time he got my $$$. I have a CDR of the Necrovore demo, which is prefect in sound quality as it was a rip from a original first generation demo. _________________ Glorious Dawn Upon The Plateau Of Might Now Burns!!

Yes, the tape pictured above is the one that Mike was selling on eBay. It was removed after just a few hours to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands... |

I've got some sort of bootleg CD by a label called Necro Gallery which includes a live track called 'Abominations' (sound quality isn't very good though) and a recording from the Harmony Dies session of 'Slaughtered Remains'.
I too would love to see this demo get an official release especially with a Die Hard treatment! I too have given up any hope of seeing a proper Necrovore return, I've heard rumours since about 1997 and seeing how its almost 11 years later nothing has been forthcoming.
As for the blue logo tape, I wasn't aware of its existence whatsoever! Hmm, have vinyl with both versions on each side...
But I think anyone truly touched by the sound of Necrovore has to become a maniac. There is just something so incredibly special about them, the vibe from that demo is indescribable! I just think its a shame they didn't get all that far in the overground at least. |
