Sometimes i wonder if this LP would actually need a repress if you accounted for the copies horded by stamp collectors already :p

Not that i'm against peoples choices to do what they will with their money and albums, but its an interesting thing to think about. The wild rags pressing wasn't exactly limited. I think one person discovered there must have been at least 8 or 12 thousand copies of that. Then at least 1,000 from NWN pressing and probably some bootlegs down the line? This doesn't even count the CD which is already rare in all pressing. Is there really more than 20,000 people in the world who would own FAoD?

i have kinda same question - and well how many people owned FAoD, cause obviously sales was better back in a days, and there was less collecting and more listening. so some of those copies are gone forever but still Idea

It is a safe bet there are people with more than one copy for sure.
However there is also always a new legion of minions finding their way into the music, these youngsters and maybe not even youthful new interested listeners are always seeking something new, this band has the hype to draw in those people and of course in true metal love fashion, want a physical copy for themselves.

If 1000 copies were widely sitting around available via various distros would the same desire be there for the album though? Sometimes one has to wonder if the want of the album is simply due to the fact of not being able to have.
There are lots of great albums far from being sold out just sitting dusty on some obscure distro's shelf cause for whatever reason the forum hype never hit them hard.

Safe bet to bet that if it was never sold through the NWN store it is not a legitimate NWN product. Laughing

That particular product has the stench of Greek Zyklon B (I think thats the guy anyways) all around it, same bloke that did those Arcturus and Aprotian Demon 'leather bound' book cd's???

No, those Arcturus and Aptorian Demon cd's you are referring to are official releases by the Crypt. This Blasphemy thing is manufactured in the same way as I can judge from the photos, but I seem to recall it's a ZyklonB boot.

This bootleg A5 was printed at my printer in 2007 by another Greek label and made it look just like my releases since lets say we totaly despise each other, most people know the story and who is behind.

Exactly as I thought. Not difficult to despise those behind this after all.

It would be a good idea for Blasphemy to either get their shit together fast for their self-released new edition of FAOD or let YSK do another pressing. They're an important band and FAOD is a classic record, but the scene is fickle and trend-based and the popularity of bestial war metal may have already peaked.

They'd be smart to strike while the iron is hot.
