Two new songs are streaming:
https://soundcloud.com/decibel-streaming/in-solitude-pallid-hands

https://soundcloud.com/user3105090/in-solitude-a-buried-sun

'Pallid Hands' sounds pretty good but 'A Buried Sun' is excellent. Great chorus.

Very nice! Enjoying both these tracks, even better than the ones already posted. Getting a bit of The Cure vibe in some parts. Looking forward to this.

Edit: I am loving these tracks more and more with each listen. Pure magick.
edit #2: FUCK FUCK FUCKKKKK. Such a great band

Yes, the album is quite excellent. I am a diehard fan of the first two so my opinion is probably biased, but they have managed to keep the streak going...

Sister's not even one of the best tracks. Just wait until you hear Horses in the Ground, Death Knows Where, and Lavender. It's been on constant rotation for me.

I'm liking that "A Buried Sun" track. Like most, I wasn't too excited by "Sister" but these tracks have regained my interest.

I think it'll take a few listens for this to really sink in, but even now I'm calling it one of my absolute favourites of 2013.

Very impressive. This will be sure to upset many of the traditionalists.

Very very mediocre riffs musically-speaking. And fuck, how many times did they want to repeat that annoying gay riff...? jesus.

Like Ghost et al, I'm sure this will appeal to teenage girls though.

Laughing There's really no denying this. Good call.

The album kind of sickened me the first time I listened. I didn't follow the news, so the stylistic change was a dismal shock. I was expecting a natural progression from The World..., but this sounds forced.

The second listen was much better, although I'm still puzzled by the shift in direction. Their brand of traditional metal was too great to just put on the back-burner. The 70s hard rock sound doesn't fit their ambition, IMO.

To chime in on their live performances: I caught their gig in MA on the Behemoth tour and it was disappointing. The vocalist seemed drunk and incoherent. His constant stepping on-and-off the stage was annoying to watch, as well-- not the kind of showmanship I appreciate. The rest of the band looked like they were spot-on, but the sound in the venue was kinda fucked up. It was really a let-down, since they were the only reason I attended the show. Needless to say, I won't take a chance on attending their upcoming tour through the states.

Maybe it's that Samhain song they covered a couple years ago, but I feel the Danzig in the new songs. And I love Danzig. Will give it a chance.

Picked up the album yesterday. I'm really digging the vocals and atmosphere, but my first impression is that I can't help but wish there were a bit more riffs on this thing. I still need to listen to it a bunch more, it seems like there is a lot to soak in here.

A Buried Sun and Lavender are my favorites at this point.

Just received this in the mail last night, sat down with lyrics and artwork, and I was nearly speechless. Incredible album. I can't wait to discover it more and more with each listen. I have been eagerly anticipating Sister for months, and it is everything I hoped for, and nothing I expected. Comparing them to Ghost is just lazy and shows a lack of listening to this for what it is.

It's the audio equivalent of getting lost in a Beksinski painting. Broken and beautiful.
