I am a bit of a n00b to this genre but there are so many tapes and releases it makes it hard to chose which bands to give a shot and which ones are talentless crap.

I know some well thought of ones/ones I like include Navicon Torture Technologies, MZ. 412, Prurient, Green Army Faction, Boyd Rice/NON, Throbbing Gristle, Nordvargr, and Merzbow are the ones I can remember right now.

I don't listen to this stuff that much but one album I can't get bored of is definitely In-Konflikt by Genocide Organ.

Well you have me sold on Nicole 12, though considering this is a somewhat offensive genre, I would have thought 'not for the easily offended' would be a way of summing this entire scene. Laughing

Whats so offensive about it anyway?

Also didn't someone mention a forum for this sort of thing aswell?

If I remember correctly, the lyrics and artwork rotate around the theme of paedophilia/lolicon/rape.

Jason Crummer (HIGHLY recommend the Ottoman Black album)
Demons
Pan Sonic
Brethren
Kevin Drumm
Deathkey
Einsturzende Neubauten "Strategies Against Architecture"

all of these bands have had a huge impact on the noise/pe/experimental side of things and some are still active...shouldnt have a problem finding available releases from each of these bands....

industrial noise:

Yellow Tears
Maurizio Bianchi
New Blockaders

harsh noise :

the rita
richard ramirez
ochu
kevin drumm (also has amazing drone output)

power electronics :

con-dom
deathpile
recent Sutcliffe Jugend has been excellent ,especially "pigdaddy"

if you have any other questions about specific requests i made feel free to PM me.

Great recommendations, especially a classic like Zero Kama. Nitpicker I am I have to point out that there's an H missing though. L.A.Y.L.A.H. it is. Wink Anyway, if anyone's interested I have a spare of the LP left for trade along the coloured vinyl of "The Goatherd and the Beast".

I'd like to add Blue Sabbath Black Cheer for Industrial and The Endless Blockade for PE. Absolutely violent shit.
