Am I the only one who thinks the production on KOM sucks ass ?
I never ever listen to the album because I canīt stand the sound....
re-recording Battle Hymns was useless, but the result was surprisingly good... so Iīm all up for a re-recording of KOM !

Manowar are in principle above any criticism from some NWN! - kids for first.

Kings of Metal is great, though i am not too fond of a re-recording aswell. Not reasonable in my opinion.

Still Manowar are gods of Metal and the last album was a good one! And do not forget the older albums...

A slightly updated version of Kings of Metal could be good. This is pretty much the only Manowar album I like or care about. Not exactly a fan of the band but I have heard this one album and it is good. I think I heard the one that comes after it and Battle Hymns and none of those made me care further.

It's a shame and disgrace for their glorious history...Another one slap in the face for the fans from the -once upon a time, Kings of Metal and best heavy metal band- after the insult of the rerecording of Battle Hymns..
I put aside their shitty latest albums, but those acts prove how low a band can ended up..
I hope DeMaio to split the band asap ,to put the circus to an end..

Agreed 100%
Their music and PHILOSOPHY are beyond any criticism from some kids who don't know the essense of epic metal. And the spirit of Manowar.
Kings of metal is godly, there is no need to be editted.
I will emphasize to the fact that from ''Louder Than Hell'' ,we don't listen to nothing but uninspired and tiring songs ,and the flame of true heavy metal is lost..
Sadly,I will live with the belief that nowadays Manowar are a shadow of themselves and only the old era is real..

the production never bothered me - only songs like wheels of fire, sting of the bumblebee and pleasure slave ... just WHY

those songs are so either obsolete or bad (mostly both) that they drag the remainder of the album down for me- which is a shame because the rest of the songs are by themselves, great great songs!

even though it is FAR from my favorite Manowar album - the crown and the ring is still the pinnicale of chestbumping, bonechilling epicness

To me this just seems somewhat pointless, though I don't think it's that horrifying.. Maybe it just shows that the bands out of ideas.

Can't agree with this "nothing good after Louder than hell" nonsense. Warriors of the world has some great metal songs and Gods of war is massive!

The way I see it is at least the band didn't go through a drastic change sound-wise. They have become heavier and faster. Unlike Metallica for example who have changed drastically and are planning to re-record "Kill 'em All" (unless it is only a rumor), Manowar have continued basically in very similar direction throughout their career. "Kings Of Metal" is a great album but I always have to turn the volume way up when I spin the LP. Is it necessary to re-record the album? No. But I don't think it will sound as bad as some people think / predict. I don't think they will fuck it up with any additional sampling or other crap. As long as they will try to keep it as close to the original as possible with better production I don't think it will be a disaster.

Nothing wrong with Wheels of Fire, it's a really great catchy tune
