I mean a rock/metal related one, it couldn'f fit in the title.

During the 80's and the 90's, here in Greece, there was a "nickname mania", it was almost... mandatory to use one if you wanted to be "somebody", especially if you were a metalhead or a football hooligan. Or both of course.

So, all you could see in school toilets, trains, walls etc was "graffitis", marker signatures and written nicknames in general, with 99% of them being followed by a number. The numbers were 4, 7, 13 or 21 depending on which team the person who wrote it supported. 4 was for PAOK, 7 for Olympiacos, 13 for Panathinaikos and 21 for AEK. The numbers "symbolized" the stadium section where the "die hard" ultras of each team were gathered.

Some of the most "iconic" nicknames (at least in Athens) were: Eddie 7, Dokken 13, Machine Head 21, Ozzy 7, Green Hell, Lemmy 13 and many more which I have forgotten.

During high school I used "Legion", I was obsessed with Marduk at the time. Nothing serious, just wrote it a couple of times on my class' door and on my desk with correction fluid. And of course in all of my books.

Have you ever used one?

This new kid walked into the class one day and straight away I thought his head looked like a rissole so that was that. Good ole rissole! Used to make strange noises for a silver coin donation.

Actually, my teenage nickname = my NWN! forum username.

Nothing to do with metal though, not in my case anyway.

People either call me "handsome" or "nazi scum". In high school I did have the nickname "that guy with a shirt that says Goatpenis" though.

Fat Ray cause I was fat in my early teens and that's why my metal team called me. There was also my other friends: birdboy, mcfatsky, Kasay-a-face, grub and naked nick.

Dirty was the one that stuck for me tho.

Apocalyptic Summoner of the 7th legion of Infernal Abyssimus... yep, that is correct, you guessed right... I was a pimply tall and scrawny goofy looking freak as a teen called gross or zits or loser.

It's probably why I am so adorable and loveable and highly tolerable today.

Oh, I was called a stretch geek in HS by this miserable, drug addled girl. I'm tall and I was considered a nerd by some/most. She called my friend a stretch geek too.
