Legendary NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal) band SATAN is putting the finishing touches on the material for a new album. The CD, which will arrive early next year to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the release of the first SATAN LP, "Court In The Act", will feature the band's original members and is regarded by the group as the recording that would have been the follow-up effort featuring the classic SATAN lineup.

SATAN already has offers from various record companies for the release of the new album and will announce a new label home soon.

Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Twenty Twenty Five", "Testimony", "Cenotaph", "Incantations", "Time To Die" and "Demons Pulling You Down".

Best news of the year.

Well despite apprehension about how good the new album will actually turn out to be, seeing the reunited Satan playing live has been better than watching pretty much 99.9% of bands around. Anyone who has seen them would not disagree.

They're a bit before my time and I've sadly never seen them live but I really love Court in the Act. It's totally personal, but I just feel like these bands regrouping for tours/shows is great, but new records? It doesn't have too many good precedents.

The three new tracks I've heard are fucking brilliant if your a fan of CITA era you'll love it. I've heard one of the deals on the table and I don't think this will be the only release if they accepted it. Can't wait for this!

Someone uploaded live footage of new material a few months ago, which was then quickly taken down. Those new tracks sounded amazing, perfectly in touch with their old stuff.

That was me haha, I was asked to take them down. They are up there if you search though. There was one more taken from Metal Assualt in Germany, where Brian forgot the words, which was a shame, but the end when he got into it destroyed.

Yup, their performance at KEEP IT TRUE last year was absolutely brilliant!

I completely understand people's reservations about a new album but as far as I'm concerned these guys have never let me down yet. Satan, Blind Fury, Pariah...it's all really really good.

This is incredible news from out of the blue, can't wait to hear a few studio preview tracks.
