Not better by any means, but at this point I listen to Dishammer more than I listen to Discharge or Hellhammer.

Can't think of any "better" epigones, but on a subjective note I prefer Amebix to both Killing Joke and Discharge, if that counts.

This statement should be uncontroversial and I wish I'd thought to post it.

My contribution: Forseti was better than Death In June. There hasn't been a better neofolk project before or since.
Music wise yes, but DIJ are still more interesting for their lyrics and concept.

Here goes what I think:

- Early Metallica over Diamond Head;
- Iron Maiden over UFO;
- Motorhead over Hawkwind;
- Some Doom Metal bands over some bad Sabbath moments (but anyway, Sabbath is the reason).

Don't get me wrong Katharsis are fucking amazing but 666, Krucifixxion, VVorldVVithoutEnd and Fourth Reich do not stack up to the first four Darkthrone albums (excluding Soulside Journey). No fucking way in hell, I could see how people like VVorld and Fourth Reich more, but 666 and Krucifixxion are total Darkthrone worship, and not done nearly as well. And NO that does not split the 4 album comparison down the middle, no fucking way Katharsis do Darkthrone better then Darkthrone.

Nonsense

Proclamation>Blasphemy
Vomitor > Sodom
Those are bullcrap.

But i strongly prefer Katharsis over Darkthrone. Darkthrone could impossiblyn pen songs like Vvorld Vvithout End and So Nail The Hearts

But then again, neither could Katharsis without Darkthrone.

If you're an originator/source of inspiration, in 99% of the cases, you win.

Katharsis are solid, but their best could never even come within the same universe as the opening riff of Transilvanian hunger and the crushing riff sof In the shadow of the Horns. Its fucking hilarious how anyone can even think they're in the same league as the band that made their existence possible.
