Leather n Spikes zine there was mentioned that young Nödtveidt brothers (Jon 12 years & Emil 11 years) recorded some heavy metal song/songs under a name THUNDER on some compilation LP. Would be great to hear it, what is that compilation titled and does those songs circulate somewhere in interwebs?

Holy shit I would love to hear that. I've never heard the legendary Rabbit's Carrot either.

Never heard of Thunder and sorry for hijacking your thread, but on a related note, Ivar from Enslaved said in Tales Of The Macabre #3;
Quote:
Two other projects, a metal band called Ilûvatar (meaning the highest god in sumerian). It's in the same direction as Enslaved, but not so fast. We are going to release a demotape soon, hopefully to get a record deal. It has a different concept, it's more magical with roleplay (dealing with troll stuff)...

I guess this never got even to the stage of reh.tapes and so on?

Yupp, I guess you can file that under "The Never Has Beens".

Unless we hear something else in the upcoming 5minutes.

Why do you think it's not? I've read the same thing in LEATHER N SPIKES and the account is from that obsessed Book of Chaos guy.

Here's the source, seems legit indeed:

https://www.facebook.com/JNodtveidt.Biography

As promised, here it is. I think this is the first time ever that Jon initial music recordings are shared over the internet. Meet Thunder, his first band (1987, 12 years old), before Siren's Yell. YOULL BE VERY SURPRISED ABOUT THAT VOICE!! Keep in mind that these two tracks were recorded by a kid (an already talented kid), in Strömstad and they were included in a very limited and rare 12" vinyl titled "GränsLöss Musik" (SMS 0188, 1988), released by the own city Kommun, I guess, to showcase the musical abilities of youngsters at that time.
"Dreams" closes de A side, and I've been told this is the first piece of music composed by Jon. He plays guitar and sings together with a fellow schoolmate, as well in the other track.
"Guilty of love", a Whitesnake cover (!), closes the B side, a total surprise and a very nice sounding piece for a bunch of kids.
Featured on bass is also Jon's brother Emil, plus other schoolmates in guitar, keyboards and drums (see Youtube detail info for this).
Hope you enjoy this. I believe rare music must be shared and not kept stored in a closet just for oneself. It felt VERY special when I was gifted this rare vinyl, and I will never forget it.
Thanks to Henrik J. for translations!
:: Hail The Bloodline of Fire ::

And from the LP itself (description of YouTube video):

Musik without limit(s) (Limitless Musik)
Black Vinyl 12“ SMS 0188 (1988)

We want on this LP to reflect the whole music activity within the municipal music school of Strömstad, as it went down during the fall of 1987/early 1988.
Within the association of Strömstad Youthorchestra, that was founded by late music leader Olle Bengtsson 10 years ago, there is room for several music ensembles.

The rock group Thunder consist of middleclass (school, grades 4-6) students, and have up til today's date existed for 1 ½ years. They write a lot of their own material themselves, and have also managed to compete in the rockband competition “Rock Of Bohuslän”.

The rock group Thunder participates with the songs (recorded 1987):
1 - “Dreams” (Nödtveidt- Ludvigsson) (00:14)
2 - “Guilty of Love” (Coverdale /original recorded by Whitesnake) (04:09)

Members in Thunder:
Guitars: Jon Nödtveidt and Nicklas Hedén.
Guitar solos: Jon Nödtveidt.
Vocals: Jon Nödtveidt and Nicklas Hedén.
Keyboards: Henrik Ludvigsson.
Bass: Emil Nödtveidt.
Drums: Petter Forsberg.
Musical direction: Jan-Ake Winkler.

Translation vinyl sleeves: Henrik J. (thanks!).
