My thought when I saw he joined Slayer again. His drumming was a perfect match for Jeff's punk/hardcore roots.

They should ask Autocrator again, and this time allow him to write the song. So we can hear some decent Slayer again, it has been a long time...

They announced that it was permanent.

Zeppelin did it with class: it's time for Slayer to call it a day.

Divine Intervention was great in part due to Paul's drumming.

Best Slayer gig i ever saw was with Bostaph drumming, and i always thought he was the best drummer for Slayer (even if Lombardo is THE Slayer drummer). Guy hits hard as hell and its much more precise and tight than old man Dave.

As someone said, too bad Hanneman isn't around anymore. Something not too bad could come out of it.

This band cannot be in life without Hanneman...
Sure they have money for the rest of their lives so they should quit now.
I want to remember them as a legend .no need to release useless albums anymore.
Or they can create side projects.

Can't blame a couple guys for keeping the only thing they know alive and current... but also it's hard to beleive their heart is totally and completely into it anymore either...must feel more like a job obligation compared to the days it was pure love.

Can't say anything interesting has been made by the band in sometime, but there is a whole lot of similar aged acts in the same boat. The band name lives on and still sells, but the content of the products... questionable to those there from the start, but hey... guess the new kids latch on and it is 'new' to them and starts their own enjoyable road into album/band exploration. Wink
