Godamn what a bunch of whiners!

This DVD is something that has been talked about for the longest and ANY KD/MF fan will definitely enjoy it tremendously.
It's more for the fans then it is for anyone else.

That 25th anniversary release with Abigail and Melissa was simply awesome to watch.
This DVD is gonna be 10x better for sure.

I can't wait to see what's going to be on these discs.

I had the live footage on the "Abigail" and "Melissa" reissues for years. The quality on those discs are excellent. I threw the old VHS tape with the Mercyful Fate show right in the trash after seeing it. I always wanted an upgraded copy, because that show is fucking great.

I got tons of King Diamond/Mercyful Fate video clips on tape somewhere, including one really absurd interview on a show called "Saturday Night Shocker", and one of the hosts is some goofy black guy. I got a few of King hosting Headbanger's Ball too.

Today, I think the guy is totally washed-up and boring. He's got money too, no doubt about that. I think I heard his house in Texas is huge and Just the royalty check he gets from Metallica covering the MF song is enough to keep him well off.

Same goes for Diamond Head's royalty check for their 'Am I Evil?' cover.

I'm listening to "In the Shadows" right now. It's not as great as DBTO or Melissa, but still damn good in it's own right.

King's "I can't live off Mercyful Fate" attitude is really gay. How could he live off King Diamond, but not Fate? Just promote it more! Is the number of morons that like King Diamond, but don't like/know about Fate really that big?

Even though he personally sucks today, I think if they got Michael Denner back into the line-up, they could make a great record.

You know, I oddly enough never looked into Michael Denner and Hank Shermann's other projects too much. Which is lame, considering I think of them as two of my favorite guitar players for their work with MF. I heard some are really gay, but is this Force of Evil any good?

Mercyful Fate obviously divides the income between more people than the band King Diamond, this being a solo project with more or less hired musicians.

"Just promote it more!" ? Promotion doesn't come for free you know.
That's exactly what Metal Blade is not doing with
Mercyful Fate, can't blame King for that. I totally understand his views on this.
When you've come to the point in your career that you are actually living off
your music, then you can't "just do another album with Mercyful Fate",
because you will go pretty much bankrupt of some sort.
The deals are much better with King Diamond, and if his passion is stronger
in King Diamond, then that is reason enough for continuing making music
under that logo.

Washed out and boring? Hell no, he still releases quality dark metal, one of
the few "legends" that still keeps going strong in my opinion.

Anyway, the dvd's will kill!

I second that. See what metallica and others have become. They made historical albums that influenced a whole genre, and what are they now ? Utter crap not worthier than 50 cent or alike "artists".
