Swan Song was pretty shitty.

I disagree. Granted it was far from the Carcass thing but it's a good album in its own post-death metal genre.

Should have been released under a different name.

I don't know about that, as I said it's a long way away from Reek and Symphonies but it still has the Carcass feel to it. One simply needs to take it for what it is without looking upon it as a death/grind album.

My 2 faves are HEARTWORK and NECROTICISM, so I am psyched.

SWAN SONG is a bad MEGADETH record put out by CARCASS.
I hate it.
Not even in my collection anymore.
But I forgave them for it in 2008 when they killed it on the reunion tour.

Necroticism is a killer record but I don't like Heartwork, the songwriting is starting to decline and the production is boring.

Nothing beats Symphonies and Necroticism, but let's check this coming album.

[Xeniteia MODE ON] The first three are the best IMO! But I listen to Heartwork, it's a record that sound like Maiden sometimes IMO! Swansong is not bad but the agression of Symphonies is lost IMO! [/Xeniteia MODE OFF]

It is a perfect mixture of Heartwork and Necroticism

Unfortunately Heartwork was utter shite.

My fave is Reek but I have to say, Heartwork & Swansong have grown on me over the years, Childs Play is so darn catchy.

Man, what the fuck are you guys talking about?

Reek of Putrefaction (literally?) shits on 99% of the material discussed on this board in terms of heaviness and sheer insanity.

People gotta learn the difference between taste and quality. Heartwork and Swansong are great albums, whether you like them or not.
