I'm sorry, I meant something like your Cult of the Horned One LP (which I liked very much by the way!)
One LP with three tracks on it in a regular sleeve with an insert... no gatefold.
So a gatefold sleeve is cheaper to produce than a regular one?

Gatefold jacket is about double the price of regular jacket.

I am not sure why people are complainting about gatefold jackets. Most labels sell regular jacket LPs and gatefold jacket LPs for the same price.

Don't get me wrong, I was not complaining.
But you see the contradiction, right?
They cost more to produce, but they are sold for the same price...

I don't know what the contradiction is. Are you saying that labels should not provide more value for your money?

I should have posted my question in the kindergarten of doom.
Looking forward to this release (and its jacket) anyway!

When it comes to the overall presentation of a record, sometimes less is more imho. For example in a case like this, where you have "just" a few promo/demo/rehearsal tracks pressed on wax, I think a relatively simple layout and packaging is usually more fitting than something elaborate. Also, in a lot of cases you have a fancy thick gatefold cover, but not really the artwork to justify a gatefold presentation so to speak.

But in the end opinions, assholes of course. Im looking forward to this Rotting Christ LP very much anyway!

Even though it's only 3 songs, it's one of the most anticipated releases in my eyes.

I agree to a certain extent but the decision rests entirely with the band and label. Fans should find something else to complain about. I'm sure Stefanos will come up with a killer layout like he has for the other Rotting Christ reissues on Floga.

Saw them live one week ago.I was amazed by their energy!
