What do you want to know exactly?
As far as I know, some of the BOB presses were not the best, but I have no BOB re-releases of older records.

I just sold this and Det Som Engang Var on Discogs, went out almost as soon as I put them up hahaha... they sound good, just would rather listen Burzum on CD to be honest. The way the DLP of s/t + Aske is layed out in terms of the song placement is a pain in the ass...

I have the '08 BOB re-release of Filosofem and it sounds/looks fine.
I think it's the '05 versions that have a lot of noise/issues.

my copy of Burzum/Aske is the 2008 BOB reissue you're asking about only its regular black instead of grey. it sounds fine to me. the 2xLP format is kind of annoying but i guess it makes sense since Aske is included.

2008 editions are fine- avoid the 2005 versions like the plague they are truly awful.

Yeah, the '05 version is garbage. I had one for a few years until I got sick of the poor sound. Found the recent splatter version for a good price on Discogs, so I bought that and sold my '05 for like $15. The guy I thought I bought the splatter one from flaked out and never completed the Discogs transaction (through the course of emails, I found out he lives in the next neighborhood over from me. He invited me over to buy more black metal from him but every time I wanted to set something up, he was always "out of town". Whatever), Anyway so now I'm without this classic. I really should look for and pick up the '08 version finally

My two Back on Black copies: an '05 Hvis lyset tar oss and an '08 Det som engang var.

The '05 has a poor looking cover, flimsy jacket, decent glossy insert. However, the sound is pretty good, no noise, and I like it better than my CD version.
The '08 looks great, gatefold, (180 gram I think) vinyl. But it seems a bit noisy towards the end of both sides. Lost Wisdom sounds like shit compared to Key to the Gate.

I say my '05 Burzum beats the '08, anybody else?

Well, you're comparing two different recordings so there isn't much to compare between pressings. To determine with year pressing is better, you need to compare two of the same album. For instance, the '05 Debut/Aske is garbage, but the '05 Hvis Lyset Tar Oss may be the best version of that particular record. You're doing an apples to oranges comparison

Well it at least gives a comparison of the kind of product Back on Black was releasing in 2005 and 2008. After all, people always lump all the LP's into "The '05 versions are shit, '08 ones are pretty good." Our apples are already mingled with the oranges.

I got rid of all my BoB 2005 LP pressings, but Hvis was ok, albeit really quiet. Had surface noise which was made a lot worse by the low volume.
As others have said, avoid 2005 pressings of BoB stuff. Shite in general.

I have all the Burzum BoB reissues (2008 editions) up to and including Hliskjlf. They're not the best, but not the worst either. Definitely acceptable if you want Burzum on vinyl. The sound is good from what I can tell, but I've never heard an original to compare. The only complain I have is the artwork and layout. The presentation leaves a lot of be desired and some of the cover art is a tad blury, especially on "Hvist..."
