that's 90's

the guy above me had the best list. Phantasm has very little humor and splatter. I'll continue on his list:

Bad taste
The toxic avenger
Street trash

The first two Evil Deads were really ingenious. Spent my whole childhood watching such films. Bad Taste and ED were great examples of how to make an imaginative movie completely DIY with minimal budget. They show that lack of money can be compensated with vision and skill. I still have a few of these movies, like Braindead (Dead Alive in the US) on VHS, uncut!

Night Of The Creeps was alright as far as campy b-horror goes. Fright Night maybe as well?

Basketcase (1982) more of a black comedy than gore, but still has some blood
(oh, just seen now that somebody already mentioned it)

Hellraiser (1987) (and the whole franchise into the 90s maybe?) the debut though was great as Evil Dead

Hellraiser has very little in common with Evil Dead 2. He's looking for horror with a touch of comedy from the 80's...preferably gory ones.
