Yeah that and Necrophagia's Holocausto De La Morte too... can't understand what's so bad about it, I think it's harrowing as fuck and probably the finest Petagno piece I've ever seen after some Motörhead artworks.

Not bad. I'll give the album a listen for sure.
I actually didn't hate Macabre Eternal, in fact I though it was pretty solid.

New song sounds better on record than it did live. Will probably be another decent, if unremarkable album. I just don't know how they can't seem to quite capture the madness of the old days when they still rip so hard playing the old material today.

Sounds really good! Way more inspired than the last album that seemed to drag on forever even though it had a few great songs ... and much better production!

So you're comparing a one song to an album here...?

Can't say much about the production yet, but it sounded good to me & really dug the riffs. Ideal thing would be to blend some Abscess/Acts/Shitfun style delirium in along with a dose of Mental Funeral FILTH.

Just spun Macabre Eternal too; it's still a good album in its own right, although a slight disappointment after The Tomb Within which was a real fuckin' belter. Funny how latter day Abscess and Autopsy work best in MLP/EP length...

They really do, but I guess its almost impossible to capture that feeling in a completely different context. Back then they were setting standards to death metal and now a lot have happend in the genre as with their personal lifes. It's natural that it don't sound so fresh anymore.

By the way, I liked the new track.

Joining the choir: very promising track. Production MUCH better and in the vein of old Autopsy. ME's production was too DRY. It basically lacked that dirty gloomy reverb.

I hear more Acts than Fiend because Fiend is fucking SPASTIC and it's not that hectic.
Doomy beginning is killer and the EC/DC/EC/DC solos are back baby!

The mini review is SPOT ON though: it has a rock'n roll vibe to it that wasnt in early days Autopsy but present sometimes in Abscess. Result of EAT MY FUK?
Good call on Motörhead.

No, just saying that this song sounds more inspired than most of the material on ME, and THAT has me intrigued. The new one can still be a real stinker, but this sounds promising..
