Well the whole album has leaked now, but that shouldn't be a problem for Napalm as the vinyl sales seem to be moving along nicely!
Very big sound, great tunes. _________________ Good traders: Professor Black, Golden Bull, Albin, TheUnborn, knochen, Valgrinder, Sv., dangerass, dalecooper, s.charlach, into the pit

be more sensible to press a cd edition that has all tracks and none of the gimmicks like flags etc instead of this cash in shite. |

I'm buying the regular jewelcase edition, the album can speak for itself without a flag to back it up _________________

Will any North American distros be getting any copies?
I know there's Amazon that's selling copies, just curious. |

Quote: | In the following, we want to give you a short outlook of all planned releases concerning Summoning during this and the next year.
As the Summoning boxset, limited to 1000 copies, was sold out pretty fast and won`t be repressed, Napalm Records is planning an ultimate earbook edition with different cover artwork, a 24 pages booklet, the CD with the bonus tracks, and a special 7 inch vinyl with acoustic versions of the songs "Old Mornings Dawn" and "Caradhras".
In the end of this year “Nightshade Forests” and “Oath Bound” will be released on vinyl.
Next year the “Lost Tales” EP will be releasd on vinyl. This edition will be a 10 inch including the two remixes of the before mentioned earbook.
There are also about six unfinished and therefore unreleased songs from the “Old Mornings Dawn” session, which we will work on as soon as possible and hopefully are able to release them only on vinyl (maybe including a download code)in the middle of 2014.
In the end of next year, when everything is said and done, and all works are finished and released, the forgesse will get cold again, and we will rest at last. Then Summoning will fall asleep again for a longer time, until a new dawn is rising... |
Holy shit. Great news from Summoning. This means they have an album's worth of material left, so practically we will get two albums with only one year between them And some special vinyl versions too. We're getting spoiled all of a sudden. Bring it on i say! |

Print of the CD Booklet is way too dark, either. From the look of it, this has either been rushed or nobody gave a fuck one way or the other, because it will sell regardless of any flaws. _________________ Horde Absurd: www.hordeabsurd.com

Once again: Fuck Napalm!
They knew about the complaints concerning the blurry covers of the re-releases. They blamed it on the old artworks only available in low resolution and now they fuck up a 2013 release. That gatefold is so ugly, you gotta think you're dead drunk when you're taking a too close look at it.
It's a shame that a band with a near flawless discography, a band that wants to put out quality instead of quantity and takes 7 years for a new album is bound to those quick cash retards.
At least the music itself is great, just as expected. |

I have to say that not all artwork of the Napalm LP's look blurry. Dol Guldur for instance, looks absolutely great imo. OMD's cover is a bit blurry but it doesn't bother me that much. And with Stronghold for example, the original cd artwork was a heavily color-modified (if that's the right term) crop of a painting which was 'blurry' to begin with. The same probably goes for LMHSYF. So naturally when blowing that up to LP size won't make it sharper. But having said all this, i think Temple of Darkness did a better job with their Summoning releases, especially with the material used for the covers. The Oath Bound Picture Discs and cover in particular look amazing. |

Yeh, at least the music is great.
This kind of shit presentation at a costly amount really makes me happier with the mp3.
If they uploaded the artworks, then at least the consumer could still see it. I mean, what's with Napalm art department not being able to handle basic LP sizes?
Are all their posters this fucked? No...so why are the LPs getting fucked? Stupid. |
