There is no possible way for the seller to win these things. It's a total shit system.

The only thing I can do is ban anyone from ordering if they issue a claim. I guess it's a cost of running an online business.

I am dealing with this shit right now. Sold a guitar for a friend and the fag who got it now claiming that is does not work. Guitar was in perfect working condition when it left me. He has not issued the claim yet, but we have not been able to reach an agreement with him through email, so I feel it coming.

And yeah, the few I have dealt with I have always lost. Fucking douchebag filed one on me onetime after waiting only seven days after his payment. I am in GA, he is in CA, so a fucking bobblehead (yeah, a bobblehead, fuck off) is going to take more than overfuckingnight to get there. I did not lost that one though, told the kid to sit fucking tight and his toy would arrive. I have been on eBay for almost 10 years now and only in the last year have I ever had problems.

Having tracking will not help you unless that shit says "Delivered."

I learned a lot about paypal just by reading that...fuck internet commerce. I'm thinking of going back to just taking cash and money order.

I've less problems to send well hidden cash in letter than using Paypal. Seriously.

I only send cash and money transfert (for bigger order) from now.
Paypal is practical to pay someone overseas. That's all.

I don't think there are any problems for buyers. It's more of an issue for sellers accepting PayPal.

It's flawed logic, ebay and paypal make their money from sellers, yet the rules are almost universally against their favor.

Selling anything remotely 'rare' there is risky business. I suppose selling anything at all is actually risky business.

Definately a playground and open market for shadey characters to operate effectively.

Yeah there are definitely people out there who think it's cool to bid 500 on an LP until they have to pay it... suddenly the jewel loses its lustre.

The sad reality is there are people who are noble and those who aren't. I find the readily defensive ones to be the most likely candidates for hassle.
