Streetcleaner is great no doubt but some of you are missing out on some great records.

I'm not sure people are missing out on anything just because they have a favorite. It doesn't mean anyone here doesn't love any of the other Godflesh records.

it was primarily directed at the "Streetcleaner only" crowd.

Literally only one person in this thread said that he only listened to Streetcleaner now, and even that guy made sure to mention he had listened repeatedly to their other albums in the past.

Moving along from yet another red herring of grindmonkey, is anyone well versed enough in his Techno stuff to suggest a good starting point? I know odds and sods from Curse of the Golden Vampire and Techno Animal but enough to blindly buy a record....

Also, Heartache by Jesus is one of the best things I think he's done. Really incredible, even though some of the Jesus stuff is total shite. That thing with Jarboe? Get real.....

Laughing

Haven't heard Broadrick's techno stuff, not that interested either... more familiar with his other "rock" projects/related bands from the past, like Fall of Because, Head of David, GOD, first album of Scorn, Sweet Tooth 12", all highly recommended and should be of interest to any serious Godflesh fan.

Techno Animal isn't my thing but he did a couple of hard drum n bass tunes in the mid 90s which were pretty good:

Edit: only just found out this was him. Pretty chilled, sounds like the sort of atmosphere he was aiming at with Jesu...comes off a bit better here though as pure electronica.

One of the best bands ever for sure. Streetcleaner for me but everything up to and including Selfless is essential. The stuff after that is still great but not as excellent.
