Sarcofago never did an album that I didn't enjoy on some level. Not my favorite of theirs, but not my least either.

I can see (hear) why some people don't like the album. Personally it's the first SarcóI_LOVE_PENIS I heard and a great one.

Midnight Queen shivers down my spine everytime...

It always reminded me a bit of Blessed Are The Sick. The image, production and classical influence. Great album.

Their imagery back then felt copied to the one MORBID ANGEL had in their 'Blessed Are The Sick' days but musically-wise, it always reminded of 'Beneath The Remains' which isn't a bad thing in itself. And considering how bad the albums that came afterwards are...

Not their best, but really great album!
My old tape is already worn as fuck so I can't wait for proper vinyl reissue.

Osmose and Grey Haze are releasing all the Sarcofago stuff on vinyl again.

Does anybody has more info about release dates?

On topic: this was the first album I ever heard from Sarcóf ago so it made quite an impression then. But I had the album in a tape with Deicide's first album on the other side and TLOS was shadowed a bit by this one.
After listening to their other stuff, this one is far from my favourite. Still, it has a lot of great songs in it: "Midnight Queen", "Screeches from the Silence", the title track and, obviously, "The Black Vomit".
I've been listening to this album more and more as the years pass by. Maybe I'm getting old...
