They were not. They were antifa and reds. Don't know about their reception but this country has a very bad tradition in extreme metal so reception was probably bad or non-existant...
Not my time nor geographical zone but I recall some stories; they participated in left wing manifestations and also stormed a record company because of some supposedly nazi/fascist/right wing bands in their roster... can't recall the label's name now... _________________ http://voices-defying-death.blogspot.com.ar/ |

I guess that only a serious case of retardation could keep those guys putting out shitty album after shitty album... even if they had to finance it by themselves |
I consider both Metal On Metal and Forged In Fire to be absolute classics. Somehow, I've never heard anything else they've released - but those two albums are killer IMO. _________________ Evil Is As Evil Does... |

Can't think of ONE single reason why you should mention them.
Please elaborate.. _________________ www.new-era-productions.nl |

No.
And mentioning Deströyer 666 in this thread is retarded beyond explanation. |

Amesoeurs and Alcest are bad enough.
Only good metallic shoegaze is Jesu stuff. _________________ "If noise means uncomfortable sound. Then pop is noise to me" - Masami Akita. |

Who said that amesoeurs/alcest have anything to do with shoegaze? |

Jesu is great. I've also never heard Shining. Or Alcest/Amesoeurs for that matter.

Some of the bands or the record-label came up with the term "blackgaze" to describe all these soft post-rock-bm-bands so it probably stems from there.
Also the bandmembers are usually so embarassed to play the music live that they mostly just gaze at their feet. |
