Was it delivered within 30 minutes?
Aye thos UK mailers are no good for overseas, never had any problems with them in the UK mind, they are good as a sleeve to go in a vinyl mailer to double bag things like. _________________

I also hate those envelope like LP mailers from the UK. |
THIS! I have had similar experiences. Earache (US) has mailed me LPs in the past inside a bubble mailer and nothing else. this was in the mid to late 2000's too. not the era of say late 80s or early 90s where perhaps it might have been possible to get away with such things (IE mythical grocery bag wrapped around the LP itself...) I caught flak for making a similar post in the people to avoid section about a recent experience within the last 6 months where the EXACT same happened. Ildjarn LP (original press for the record. woo fucking hoo.) but yeah, wrapped in bubble wrap with small extra cut outs of bubble wrap attached at the corners (for protetcion? ) then slid into a simple manilla envelope and shipped from Germany to the USA. I was stunned... and this of course was after making a couple basic packaging requests to insure its safety, which were obviously ignored. hard to tell if the seller was completely retarded or if this was done out of some strange spite (though my request was very friendly and up front about why I was requesting it, not to mention that I would cover ALL additional expenses for doing so)
also for the record and i'm sure ive mentioned it before, but I mailed a box set once well packaged into a medium pizza box (brand new of course, certainly not a greasy used box) anyhow, it worked out pretty great for a box set to be honest... still a funny thought
does he actually have a pizza shop locally? if so, that would be a TOTALLY rad box design for said pizza co _________________ trade-want list/available list- http://www.nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20339 |

I received once a collector's LP packaged between two other LPs (those shitty Swiss folk/"schlager") and some carton around it. The problem was removing the fucking tape used to put it together...
LP safe, so what... |

Some pizza boxes are thick and strong, so, why not.
I had once a LP sent to me, simply wrapped in kraft paper with a lot of economic stamps on it.
Incredibly, the disc was totally safe, but the jacket was bent and torn, as you can imagine. |

Pizza boxes often are even better than regular mailers, I've been using them regularly for 5-6 years, never a complaint. Thread starter needs to stop being a fucking whiney pussy. _________________ Permabanned |

I got an EP in the post a few years ago from Turanian Honour Productions in a used Garlic bread box, the box was covered in grease stains I couldn't believe it when I got it. Luckily nothing was damaged as a few others said already some pizza boxes can be ok to use as mailers but how retarded can you be to send something in a used pizza box. |

There are definitely plenty of crossover thrash bands (of which I have long since tried to wash from my psyche) that have touched on this very subject _________________ trade-want list/available list- http://www.nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20339 |
