Whattabout this National Napalm Syndicate cover? Always though that its same cover but when comparing just noticed that it's different (but still really really same looking) picture as those "Monastery graveyard in the snow" ones.

Isn't there also an Israelian band with Friedrich's artwork on the cover? Forgot the name... _________________ www.wederganger.nl

Still, it's a totally different painting by Friedrich, "The Abbey in the Oakwood". Caspar David Friedrich used studies of the Eldena Abbey, located near Greifswald, for both paintings which could be the reason why those paintings bear a resemblance to you, let alone his distinctive style of painting oaks. _________________

That blogger made a brave move and put his own watermarks on original painting, like it's his property or something. And still he is making fun how so many bands used same Fiedrichs artwork. _________________ Mors fennico more |

That explains alot. He surely like cemetaries, ruins with doorways and people walking through them as he likes his oaks. _________________ Mors fennico more |
