Well known/kvlt/legendary bands you've NEVER listened to?

The idea for this thread came from the Voivod poll.

I've been into Metal for a little over 15 years now, but I've never listened to a Voivod album, and not because I didn't want to or anything like that, it's just that somehow I've never had a chance to or even completely forget about checking them out. Yeah, I may get some shit for being so "false" or whatever, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who has commited the "sin" of not knowing a super kvlt and well known Metal band, am I?

and the one that really seems to bother people, Ive never given Mayhem - "De Mysteriis..." a good listen.

i wont dare say any of these are not good or interesting or worth the time, I just haven't gotten around to it and I already know about plenty of bands I already like. Cool

I think you're going to get a lot of the same answers people gave in the "bands you never gave a shit about" thread.

Anyway, I guess I'd say most thrash in general. I'm not a fan of the genre as a whole, but I really like certain bands/albums. I probably haven't heard a lot of stuff that's considered classic, just because I don't listen to the genre much.

There's too much music out there to hear it all. You're always going to miss some stuff. Nothing wrong with that, although I gotta say, I don't take people seriously who say things like "I love black metal" followed by "I've never really listened to Bathory". That just seems really asinine.

I personally don't like Voivod... but the cover ORDER FROM CHAOS does of War and Pain is cool.

I just checked out Possessed for the first time ever a few months ago after being into metal for like 8 years hah.... Damn idk why I waited so long that album kills

I've never checked out Axis of Advance. I guess I just got lost listening to just about every other "war metal" band, especially ones with Read in them, but for some reason never checked out Axis.
