Not sure I can handle so many good things in one month. If the Grave Miasma record really does drop in time for their tour with Necros Christos, it should arrive in September as well, not to mention Vasaeleth at the end of August. |

Totally looking forward to the new Ruins of Beverast. Such a wicked band with a great discography (only complaint is the black metal black metal approach to that second album, Rain Upon the Impure, aaaaaaggghhh, just cannot turn up the stereo enough to draw out each instrument ) |

Rain Upon the Impure is a headphones album for me for that very reason. |

I should give that an actual try. I been a home owner and private resident for so long I have long forgotten the beauty of the private and personal listening expirience enjoyment a set of headphones can offer.
I have a fairly decent stereo as far as the average man can assemble, but the muddy affair of this production is not exactly fixed by volume abuse
Fuck though if there does not seem to be luring secrets held within the recording that tease you into trying to pinpoint them and secure each instrument and sound to some precision isolated from the rest, which proves impossible hence continuous volume increasing... until it is just pure loud muddled mess instead of quiet perfection offering hints of wickedness.
The album is fucking great, really wish an alternate clean produced version would be laid upon us |

You describe exactly the reason it's a headphones album for me. If it's quiet, I can't hear what I want, if it's loud, it's a mess. It would be interesting to hear it with similar mixing/production to that used on Foulest Semen... though. |
