Drowned "Viscera Terrę", I remember Jael thought it was supposed to be played at 33 because it suits it quite well _________________ Ignivomous merch: abaddon_963[at]hotmail.com

Great thread!
Been blasting Metallica's "Am I Evil" 12" and Destruction's Mad Butcher ep on 33 since the 80's
I used to have a rip of that whole Ride the Lightning album mastered for 45 played on 33 and it was amazing (except for Escape which sucks at any speed) "Fight Fire with Fire" sounds like some bizarre Bolt Thrower/Sacrilege UK/Amebix worship.
My absolute favorite though is my Pat Benatar "Heartbreaker" 7"
On another note, if you play Asunder's "A Clarion Call" at 45 it sounds exactly like The Scorpions "The Zoo" _________________ "...that magnificent deer has vanished." |

Definitely one big old pile of steaming shit. |
FUCKING REVISIONISM!!!!!!!!
Seriously, Mortician's discography up until (and including) Domain Of Death is excellent stuff. Brutal and retarded in a good way. Everything after that is totally unnecessary but those EP's and Hacked Up For Barbeque are full of crushing tracks. |

That's the first album that came to mind seeing the thread title. There are bands who have been trying their entire careers to make an album that sounds like this.
For example, Fight Fire With Fire is the best High On Fire song never recorded. |

The old Impaled Nazarene Eps played at 33 rpm are vicious. _________________ Oh, what fun we have when we exist.

| I remember always playing The Funeral Obsession 12" by Decomposed on the slower speed. |

| The Deiphago side of their "Excharge" split with Nuclearhammer sounds crushing on 33. I highly recommend trying it out. |

| I have an old Thug 7" that says side B can be played at either 33rpm or 45rpm. It definitely sounds better at 33rpm. |

Not really revisionism, just one man's opinion. I realize that many enjoy the retardation inherent in MORTICIAN, but I just can't get into it. |
