Funeral Winds is cancelled due to flight personnel strike. Kadotus is the replacement.

Today: Svartidaudi, SW, Cult of Fire and Plaga. Should be amazing. Cool

At this point seems that other bands are making to it. There was going to be another support strike starting 3 PM today but there was sort of agreement met so strike cancelled. But still many flights were cancelled including the one which Funeral Winds was supposed to be on.

Sucks how the U.S never gets anything special like that, on the bright side I have my coffee to enjoy.

I don't feel that plaga as last band would have fullfilled the expectations of "main act", the show itself was a bit too "rookieish" or should I say, the lack of experience was a bit present? Hard spot to be after crushing act like for example cult of fire or svartidaudi, I think the new songs were excellent and gig itself top notch. Akitsa was akitsa, have to give high five for the screams though. Sargeist playing on saturday was more than welcome and aosoth gave a hell of a show. I've seen marduk twice on the last two years and as it's not so special to myself I was sleeping at home the time they were playing. But I think it must've been solid. Enjoyed acherontas too. Thanks KRK

Plaga really suffered from that not-so-good (session?) vocalist. Good gig from them nevertheless.
Cult of Fire was a bit disappointing, they really need keyboards on stage.
But Marduk...Those of the Unlight live was simply amazing.

If Plaga vocalist was not good, then how about that lead guitarist? It certainly has been a while when I've heard such a ridiculously bad guitar solos like that.

Akitsa, Acherontas and Marduk were the best bands...

Excellent weekend in Finland. Ruins Of Beverast was total goose bump Satan. Marduk was fucking perfect too. Impressive new drummer. Svartidaudi was great but where I stood the sound was a bit muddy. Cult Of Fire was great as hell, Akitsa also impressed. Low-fi punky Black Metal as we all know it. Missed Aosoth because of lack of food, sleep and fresh air. One of the most important bands for me this weekend so that was a complete bummer.

Saw lots of great shows this weekend.
Absolute highlights for me were Akitsa, Acherontas and Aosoth.
The only real disappointment was Svartidaudi, but that was mainly due to the bad sound (all bass and no lead guitar). And RoB was okay, but not nearly as good as on Metal Méan earlier this year.

Oh, and Helsinki is a great city. Not as 'grand' as other European capitals, but much quieter and cleaner. Spending a week in Finland makes you notice again how much the air smells of pollution and exhaust fumes here.
