I always perfer slowly we rot. Cause of death is good. But any after that couldn't get into.
I remember around 97 I bought SWR listening in my bedroom and an old friend of mine comes over who was at the time big into machine head, fear factory, etc. He was listening to it and make fun of them, going MEHHHHAHHHHH BLLLLAHHHHH what kind of shit is this? Going on and on saying these guys have no talent, its shit blah blah.
So fast forward a few years later I seen at a show wearing an obituary shirt. I said, hey thought you hated those guys? He was like yeah well my girlfriend got me into them more, their not so bad.

Although not in the poll THE END COMPLETE is a great record, and for sure OBIT's last fully solid record.
More new DM bands need to rip off the first 3 Obits instead of all of the INCAN/IMMO clones that are out there.
I can't think of ONE band that sounds like old Obit.

Not a new band at all but Viogression's "Expound and exhort" is total Obituary/old Death worship. Vocals are a clear rip off of Tardy's.

Yesterday I threw on "The End Complete" for the first time in a while - nothing wrong with that record at all! Tons of great songs/riffs.
And it is the record that really blew them up.
Put it on again....you will want to smash someone's head in.
