| Sweden's ARCKANUM, one of the spearheads of traditional black metal, is back with a vengeance. Leader Shamaatae's seventh album is entitled "Fenris Kindir" and will hit stores on May 10 (May 14 in North America). The cover artwork and tracklisting will be unveiled soon. |

Sviga Lae needs a vinyl release first!
But yes, even though his output is very regular, there is rarely any drop in quality.
PPPPPPPPPPPPP or whatever is one of my most listened to albums, and listened to it on the train back from NBM. |

| Most seem to dismiss Antikosmos but that one really shines for me, such great overly-simple, heavy riffing as opposed to the usual melodic stuff that get cheesy a bit too fast with the upgraded production of the newer albums. |

Antikosmos is beginning to sound better to me in the light of those last two albums...

The first three are undescribably great, Anticosmos is also superb, but last two albums are just boring to me.
I don't understand how people can say that there isn't any drop in quality ... try to compare Kostogher to ÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞ ... (yes, I know that music tastes differ, but anyways) |

| Arckanum hasn't released anything good since the split with Svartsyn, as far as I'm concerned. I hate the newer cleaner sound and the riffs. I understand the need for a change and for bands to evolve and all but it just doesn't click with me AT ALL, whereas the former material is some of my favourite black metal ever. |

| First 3 Arckanum albums are amongst my favorites of all time. Since the reformation ÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞÞ is by far the best of the bunch, but I agree that the quality in general doesn't stand up to the trilogy all that well. |
