Honestly, each time Slayer replaced Lombardo, they sounded better and more tight (on stage). I was blown away by their '98 performance with Bostaph. So maybe this dates with Dette will be less bad. The guy is a killer drummer.
This said, Slayer are a terrible band nowadays. Its been 20 years since they actually released something good.
Ps.: and this sounds like Kerry has been sucking up all that tour money, desguised as "management expenses, etc".

Slayer is just King driving the band for the sake of a paycheck. It's obvious that Tom has no interest, Jeff lost interest years ago and now is taking a lot of time away. I dunno what the story is with Lombardo. Their first four records are some of my all time favorite records, but after that...downhill FAST. There used be a time that I looked forward to going to see Slayer live. Now I wouldn't even bother if they were playing two minutes from my house.

| I wonder if fans will boo Kerry at the festival on the weekend, oh well this could lead to a hopeful new Fantômas album and i for one would prefer that over a new Slayer album. |
