In January Vanhelgd decided to continue without Viktor (bass). This was a decision we had to take to keep the band going. As we wanted to write songs and vomit the words of Satan on a regular basis Vanhelgd started as a reaction on lack of rehearsing with “Ceremonial Execution” and “The Jam Session”. After a while Viktor joined and the band became complete. When he later moved to Stockholm we were unable to rehearse as a full band as much as we used to and the creative process slowed down. During the last year we came to the conclusion that to still be able to put energy and creativity into the band we have to rehearse as a four-piece much more often. We also noticed that we have to speed up the writing process and hopefully be able to record an album in 2013. If nothing changed, the band would meet a slow but certain death. We feel that we have invested too much creativity and time in Vanhelgd to give it up due to lack of rehearsing and a slow process. We wish Viktor the best and good luck with future projects!
And yes, we have started to look around for a new band member, when we found someone we will let you know.
So the plan is to record new songs in 2013, end of message.
P.S thanks for the support at the NWN! Fest and Cheers to everybody involved. _________________ www.myspace.com/vanhelgd

Glad to hear the band is continuing and new material is in the works! "Church of Death" was the band's best by far and the set at Kill Town in 2011 was crushing. _________________

| Church of Death was a huge disappointment for me at first, but over the months it really grew on me and now it's definitely amongst my favorite death metal albums. |

Agreed. The smaller venue suited them perfectly. |

Ready for more Vanhelgd, especially if it continues in the direction of and builds on things from Church Of Death. _________________ http://www.20buckspin.com |
