I'd like to add e.o.s.' the spectral sorrows for the first sunlight drum production that more or less sounds "organic"

Recorded at Dan Swanö's Unisound studio. I think the most organic drum sound achieved at Sunlight was Utumno's "Across The Horizon".

Aura Noir - Black Thrash Attack

Don't have it handy to listen to, but I recall the sound, and the drumming itself, being awesome on this one.

Somewhat related album, Dodheimsgard - Monumental Possession also has a cool drum sound.

Clandestine has a nice tone, I assume it's not acoustic drums though

I love Clandestine's sound. So powerful, especially that bass drum! No I don't think it's a live sound but I'm fine with that.

Also really like Lars' sound on Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets.

Agree with most of those + I'd like to add
Cult Of Daath - Slit Throats And Ritual Nights
Maybe not as outstanding soundwise but insane drumming on every song from start to finish, just fucking love it!
