I'm curious as to why this hasn't seen any sort of reissue, or, as far as I know, there's never even been talk about it being reissued? Is the band not interested, or the labels? I feel like it's some of their best stuff, and it sucks to see it selling for 100+ dollars these days.

Probably because it was on Vinland Winds which would make the licenses a little difficult to negotiate...

I'm obviously not privy to the machinations of the original contract, but I would imagine the band would be able to give someone a "thumbs up" to repress it in cases like this. I figured that the death of the label owner might have something to do with it, but hasn't other things on Vinland Winds seen reissues?

To tell you the truth I've got no idea, I can't think of anything VW related that's been repressed by anyone else. This one might even be harder as there was all that artwork, box, patches, etc. Who knows where that's all gone now

Same with the TYONS, the cd-only reissue is really frustrating, some label should just walk the extra mile and do the LP again.
Actually I consider both those along with ...Swastikalotus as the best SOL releases. |

For me it'd be TYONS and Rune/Goetia, but And The Swastikalotus is excellent. You sort of have to approach it from a weird place, though. |

The main problem is that nearly all masters + original layouts for the SOL-stuff are not in the hands of the band anymore, which turns re-releases of their vinyl and MC only stuff into quite a task... But a task that can be mastered as BSS as a label proved more than once.
Next release will be Nada Brahma on CD + LP, but let's see what comes after this...

Best and worst at the same time. The EP Blood of the Alliance is killer, but the Apocalyptik Antient Noise is very bad haha.
Concerning the TYONS CD re-issue (originally a bootleg which has been tolerated by Camazotz), the speed is a little faster than the LP and so it sounds acuter. |
