Can't find anything that beats Metallica 's St Anger.
Incredible shitty sound, and when you realize they did this on purpose, with enough money to make anything they want, ending up with this is just a shame. |

| Easily Diabolic - Vengeance Ascending. Some of best deathmetal arrangements killed by most godawful alldominating absurdly LOUD and bassy triggered kickdrum. Too bad... |

Any other notable example to puke at? | Vomit Remnants with their split of some bands I can't remember tops it all. To have some proof I present you this:

| for me there doesn´t exist THE worst drum sound, especially in acoustic instruments. It´s all about the context. But probably that what most are talking about without noticing it themselves. |

The drum sound on Ageless Venomous is terrible, it took me a while to finally get used to it. _________________ Well black metal doesn't really go in that group... at all.... Black metal is all witches and warlocks and graveyards....

Shub Niggurath 'Evilness...' was a good call. Complete fucking shit. It's like someone heard Blessed Are The Sick and decided that with enough effort one can indeed come up with an even wimpier, fake drum sound.
Mortuary Drape 'Secret Sudaria' has an absolutely horrid drum sound, especially for the style. It makes it next to unlistenable to me and kills the atmosphere.
Any album with that trash can snare sound can immediately fuck off. |

It works perfectly for St. Anger but probably not a good choice elsewhere. Generally I don't like that kind of sound either. _________________ Planet Earth is great to visit but you wouldn't want to live there |

I think so too, tried to think about the absolute worst sound but I can't come up with it. Also I have no hate for triggers in themselves, only I don't like the way the drums are usually made to sound in modern productions. _________________ Planet Earth is great to visit but you wouldn't want to live there |

example? I mean, absolutely nobody should underrate the sound-technician...
thinking a little bit ahead: just think about a release (CD, LP or whatever medium) compared to concerts |

I don't hear anything wrong with this album. It's near perfection. _________________ The only email I have access to is nwnprod (at) gmail (dot) com. I do not have access to my old Yahoo addresses.
