The LP sounds fine. The CD does not. I think subsequent releases (MLP with cover songs, Antediluvian split) have been great. _________________ http://www.last.fm/user/ngadke |

Hmm. I've never heard the CD version. Maybe I have a personal issue that noone else does? The drums ruin that band's demo/first LP for me. If the actual snare sound wasn't aggravating enough, it has to be crazy high in the mix. Just fucking horrible. It's insulting to the ingenious riffage. _________________

| The hi hat on this Thergothon lp is killing me. It's too crisp and noisy and it lets the listener know it's there. High volume or low volume, it bugs me to no end..... |

Oh the snare is way too up there on the LP but it's worse on the CD. _________________ http://www.last.fm/user/ngadke |

I really like this album, their songs, but the bass drum on Grifteskymfning's djavulens boning LP are pretty annoying:

Interested in trading a dub of Apokalypsimz for a dub of Purpurearagotamiceps?
I want that Balwezo Westijiz–Urkraftens Mystik LP but wanted to get it with the Bekëth Nexëhmü |

You're kidding mate, that drum sound kills!

The worst thing about that whole situation, is reading an interview with that faggot Bob Rock talking about how much thought, effort and money went into getting that specific sound...."I'm madly in anger with youuuuu"! |
That whole album, but specifically the drums, had the worst production of all time. That "Some Kind of Monster" movie should be played to all aspiring musicians as a warning of what not to do! _________________ Ignivomous merch: abaddon_963[at]hotmail.com

Sacrilege! Those fucked drums make it a classic. I'd say the same goes for Gontyna Kry's "Welowie"
I really hate the randomly loud tom's and general drum sound on that Ordo Ad Chao which pisses me off because i like the music, and is the first album by them I have liked since Wolfs Lair Abyss, and generally can't stand all the drums on all their releases after WLA. I wont nitpic with Hellhammer's sound though cause I generally hate all clean precise triggered drum sounds like this in black metal with nothing especially more horrid about his. _________________ "...that magnificent deer has vanished." |

| Blessed Are The Sick + plenty of Swedish death metal albums (those recorded with electronic kits mainly.) |

Agreed on Reflections... without the terrible drums it would lose a lot of it's atmosphere! As for Welowie, I don't think they sound that bad for an electric kit, it's just played horribly, again though, part of it's charm. |
