If anyone is looking for tickets to the Seattle show tomorrow I have 2 tickets(possibly 3) available for sale. I am selling them at cost. PM me if you are interested. I am already meeting one person from the board outside the show tomorrow to sell them a ticket. |

Well aren't Bolt Thrower's roots in punk/crust scene anyways? The band was formed after a punk gig and Gavin Ward even played a tour with The Varukers. _________________ Heavy Metal Nuts

This. I was worried that because they sell out so easily and by now are aware people ebay these, and due to touring and ticket costs just for them at other shows i was expecting to see $25 tour shirts at least. When i realized they were cheaper i grabbed two shirts instead of the one ($10 for In battle, my favorite artwork, plus of course one to commemorate the tour itself, i liked the $10 design better). Funny thing is my two bolt thrower shirts for $20 (and are already reselling for $30 and $50 on ebay) cost that much while any other band who had shirts i wanted this weekend was asking $20. MDF as far as i know doesn't charge bands for selling their merch like other venues have done (though i'm sure they take a cut for the bands who sell through the official merch booth with the MDF shirts) so i guess its one of those supply and demand things. I've noticed some bands will sell their shirts for $20-25 at festivals, big shows, or shows where the venue charges them to sell merch, but when they play in basements, small venues, or clubs that don't give a shit suddenly those same shirts are now in the $10-15 range.
In the case with bolt thrower, they must be well aware they will sell out their merch almost entirely at any given show they play because they famously do so often. This probably either leads to more shirts being made to meet the demand (making them dirt cheap to print to begin with) and less need to make $20 a shirt because they're already doubling for sure, probably even triple their money from their costs.
In the case of the tour shirts, i would not worry they probably have done this enough times they either had boxes of shirts in each town prior to the tour or got some dropped at each stop, either that or maintained a maximum amount of shirts to sell at each stop to make sure they would have enough. By the time the tours over i can't imagine these ebay jews will still be able to sell these for 50 bucks. Enough people will have them, and i'm sure plenty will buy multiple shirts with the quick profits in mind. |

And very reasonable merch prices which seems to very common in the punk scene but very rare in the metal scene. |

Bolt thrower freaking killed it last night one of the best live bands ive ever seen, Im regretting not getting tickets for the seattle show now. Most sizes of the chaos shirt looked sold out by the end of the show. It seemed like everybody was buying shirts. I saw people with 5 plus shirts as well. also the venue was way better than I was expecting. _________________ Trade/Want List

The Seattle show was mental, so good it's almost hard to believe. Hopefully they'll come back before 2035. Plenty of shirts too, enough for everyone who wanted them. Along with what my friend picked up for me at MDF I got one of each design. _________________ Slackmovies - My lame movie blog! |

I'm still sore all over from that show... the pit was absolute insanity. And opening with "The IVth Crusade" then closing with "In Battle There is No Law"? Pure perfection. _________________ Analog Worship
