Most of this is common sense, but it's an entertaining read.

Maybe for those kitten plates, heh. Not sure how helpful that article is considering shipping records (apart from not to reuse boxes)? And how many of use UPS for mailing packages?

Absolutely right, nothing changes.
For example in Bulgaria, when I send registered and they give a tracking number, I can track the pack only until it leaves the country, after that - nothing.
I asked then, why is that and the employee told me that the posts' net site do not provide this kind of info and will never do.Sooo, answer yourself if it's worthy the extra few bucks, just to feel "safe"....

isn't this quite normal for a national operating postal sevice? When you want to know where your package is after leaving your own country, you have to visit the postal site of the destination country and track it there. At least this is how it works here.

When I send a package abroad I get updates until it arrives in the other countries sorting office, then it goes dead for a couple of days, then an update saying it was delivered.

I can confirm the part about the crayon doodles. It's not the most nekro thing to do for a distro, but I try to when I have the time.
