| Are there any records or bands that really creep you out when you listen to them, bands that ooze an uneasy listening experience? Portal and Gnaw their Tongues are the main ones I can think of. Portal's sound and vibe is just downright creepy. |

This.
I also think Silencer and Arizmenda should have a place in this thread. Nightmarish stuff. Maybe Diapsiquir and Sortsind as well? |

I was listening to Cruise on the train earlier today and had a random thought while looking out at the people around me. "I wonder if they were listening to the same thing I was if they would be utterly disgusted by it and think I'm mental for finding enjoyment from it"
I also had a particularly intense experience one time listening to The Grey Wolves. It was late at night and I was admittedly quite high at the time. I had my earphones in and I remember at the start of the album (I don't remember which one) having this overwhelming sense of dread. I just kind of stared at the screen for a good 30-45 seconds feeling very uneasy and on edge until I kinda snapped out of it and realized how ridiculous I was being. |

Yes... The Litanes of Satan truly fucks your mind.
Also Mr. Bungle. Never heard this properly until last weekend but fits here 100%. And of course Albino de Congo by Lugubrum. _________________

| 'Frankie Teardrop' by Suicide, unsettling the whole way through but THAT scream puts it over the line. Still recall listening to it up loud the first time and shitting myself. |

Moevot's demos were very unsettling the first time I had heard them when I was 14, Infester's To the depths of degradation was the last extreme metal album that reminded me just how putrid and sickening death metal can be. And of course Diamanda Galas is just dark beyond words, she is scarier than most metal bands. _________________

Schloss Tegal deserves a mention, especially his "Black Static Tranmission" album.
A couple of the releases I've put out. Funerary Call, particularly "The Black Root". Subklinik " Musik For Dekomposition". Aderlating (GTT related project)...Deathstench is another name that will be making some noise soon (recent album release on Malignant Records).
Temple Of Not. The material on the Nightbringer split fits this description.
Emit had some great unsettling releases a few years ago.
Disgorge (Mex) on "Forensick" and "Chronic Corpora Infest" to a lesser extent.
Alot of the early Death Industrial scene from Sweden and Italy. Megaptera, BDN, Archon Satani, Today I'm Dead, Mauthausen Orchestra but above all, Atrax Morgue. _________________ FALL OF NATURE | MORS VINCIT OMNIA |

Revenge. Absolute fucking contempt and venom.
I was sitting in my car one day a few years ago spinning Victory.Intolerance.Mastery while feeling a bit out of sorts and sleep deprived and was just suddenly struck by the sheer fucking consuming hatred of the music. I felt a deep feeling of depression drift over me that didn't let up for the entire day. Of course I loved that album before that experience and still enjoy it.
Same thing really happened to me when I discovered grindcore at age 13, got deeply disturbed by the music and then the next day found it the most exhilarating thing ever. _________________
