This and the $4 surcharge for color vinyl. It used to be for the ltd.100, now for the ltd.200 color too.
Hopefully this Entombed will still ship from the UK, because as of February, Century Media is supposed to handle all the Earache physical releases, and that's a hike in shipping price. |
This is part of the complaint. Too many gimmicks for me. This is one of those death metal albums they could press one or two thousand any time it sells out and keep at a regular price because it will always move. This album should be essential to anyone who claims to be a fan of true death metal! |

I have the 2002/2003 version of "Left Hand Path". Any difference in this 2012/2013 version at all? _________________ We Are Satan's Generation And We Don't Give A Fuck! |

I'd love to hear them actually explain what this bullshit term means. All the pressings of these albums were done from the master tapes. Unless they were running them through a brick-wall limiter when they were making the acetate, the old runs were "full dynamic range" as well. |

It refers to this company: http://www.formationaudio.co.uk
After all it's just the original recordings with the all the dynamics preserved. I don't expect them to sound any different to the original pressings, those 2002 reissues might sound different but not necessarily better or worse. |

I guess I'm gonna miss this but what the heck, I have other priorities at the moment. And I do think I prefer to fork out some extra cash for the original. What's this Full Dynamic Range vinyl remaster? I don't like the way it sounds. Does anyway have any complaints on the sound of their other recent reissues? | I still need the album on vinyl. _________________ [quote="harmless"]There's nothing worse than a 45 year old man in a Darkthrone T-shirt and a receding hairline. That's actually very true. Still this is a remaster through different equipment, tubes etc. It will probably sound different. Maybe the original tape has a wider range than the old LP master... We'll see.

| comparing the Bolt Thrower LP with the 1991 CD version the biggest difference seems to be that they apparently used the completely unaltered mixdown leaving in the count in's on Eternal War. |

3. side of this thread and no mention of "Earache" omitting the original CD bonus tracks from back then for the re-release!? Just another proof of the superficial collector's mentality these days I'd reckon!? _________________ "Slit my eyes, for they'll remember..." |
