Interesting choice. A great album, but not something I find particularly disturbing in any sense. More like a homage to the scores from old Japanese / Korean cinema...

+1 for KEROVNIAN, great bleak dark ambient for sure but not disturbing at all...
Same for AGHAST, itīs GREAT dark ambient, unique atmosphere, killer stuff but there's nothing "disturbing" about it?!?!! Itīs soothing and meditative
Do you guys think itīs sick? Twisted? Horrifying? Nightmares-inducing?
Same for most PE and noise stuff posted here, nothing "disturbing" or unsettling.
If you want a TRULY UNSETTLING listennin experience listen to "moisture" by experimental artist Brutum Fulmen:

You listen to that stuff with headphones and it feels like you have bugs crawling into your ears and somehow moss growing in your ear canals.

| For metal, the only release I ever found to be seriously disturbing (not counting stuff from when I 10 years old and would piss myself over anything) was Todesstoss- Sehnsucht. That recording is legitimately fucked up. |

I can't believe no one has said modern Von yet. Not disturbing in a musically sense, but Venien is a truly horrifyingly and annoying disturbance.
