Dunno... same stale and predictable stadium d-beat. Far cry from Wolfpack days.

I wanted to dis-like (ho ho) this but it was pretty solid.

I get this weird thing when listening to melodic stadium crust stuff, where I start hearing the on-beat as the off-beat, and then spend whole songs trying to correct it in my brain. Really annoying. Please tell me I'm not the only one Very Happy

I played in a band like this and my brain does the same thing, drove me fucking mental.

Well that's reassuring. I never get it with straight up raw punk, thrash or anything else that uses a similar kind of beat.

I guess it's to do with the rhythm of the guitars.

I like these bands. I grew up with this style of music bombarding me, so I'm not inclined to pick it up. I never heard the term "stadium crust" before, and that's an awesome name for it. There's this weird thing the last few years with metal heads getting into crust and d-beat. I don't get it, but I don't get a lot of things. Anyway, I miss anti-cimex.

Is the snare supposed to be the on-beat?

Around here it's commonly used for these kind of boring bands.

Heh. Well, they may be boring on record, but I'd rather see them live than a lot of black metal bands these days.

I liked what Tragedy did on Darker Days Ahead, and didn't become a rehash copy of themselves, whereas to me these bands just rehash the most generic Tragedy riffs and end up sounding like a d-beat Amon Amarth.

Sure, I'd go see them live though if there was a decent chance...
