Fuck, where do I start? This is such good news. All hail Drowned. These songs are both really strong to boot. A little bit of a new take on the band's sound too. First thing I hear is more of a Sadistic Intent influence. MDR is using a little more vocal variety and sounds pretty fucking rabid. Still maintains the otherworldly "watery" feel of Viscera Terrae. Will listen to these tracks 100 times while awaiting further news.

I'm glad Mors is still with the band for vocals, although I have always hoped they would eventually get another vocalist who could do something similar to the varied vocals on AErth and Conquering the Azure.

| I liked VT very much, but this sounds incredible. Mixing the atmospheric strangeness of the earlier material with the more aggressive DM of VT sounds like it will produce something very special indeed. |

I'm with you, it's too early to say if I like it more... but the songs are well crafted, memorable, and it's good to see they've retained their core sound whilst expanding further on it. Makes me even more pissed off I'm going to miss the performance at Deathkult! |
