This.
The first 3 are among the best albums of all time, especially Into Glory Ride. After that...not so much.
I do like Sign of the Hammer a lot, and a few songs on side 2 of Fighting the World are killer. I thought The Triumph of Steel was mildly interesting at first, but I grew tired of it pretty quickly. Since then, I think they've released piles and piles of crap, IMHO. _________________ Evil Is As Evil Does... |

Ever heard the re-recorded version of BATTLE HYMNS, fanboy?
Anyway, everything Manowar recorded up to Warriors of the World is pretty much perfect IMO, but everything they did afterwards (well, except for the song "I believe", which is quite good) sounds like a lame self parody.

Unfortunately, I have.
I saw them live in New Jersey a year or two ago. They did Battle Hymns in its entirety, which was awesome, and then a set of newer tracks, which was terrible. Eric Adams still sounds decent, but it's a pale comparison to the old days. Joey DeMaio, though, still shreds on bass...that dude is unreal. _________________ Evil Is As Evil Does... |

In all honesty, no I haven't. I was too busy growing a moustache and chit-chatting on FB with my fellow pals from Israel to pay attention. _________________ Permaban him

The new Manowar truly is a masterpiece; a million times better than any of these Darkthrone / Blasphemy Rip-off albums of today. One of the best releases of the last years. Way better than their previous albums.

That comparison is bad, and you should feel bad _________________ WANTLIST/TRADELIST http://andreas-wantlist.blogspot.com/2012/03/wantlist.html

Taken from some gay forum, but true as fuck.
This one is their weakest imo, although still very good. Gods of War was great; you have to be some Metal Archives shitter who wanks to Fates Warning to dislike this masterpiece. |
