The first time I heard Satyricon - Mother North I thought to myself "there is no way they are really saying 'how can we sleep while the beds are burning."
I mean, surely I was just misunderstanding the song. What black metal band would steal lyrics from Midnight Oil?
But I was wrong. It was all true. _________________

Midnight Oil was something that I also first thought when I heard Morther North for the first time. But it didn't ruin it for me. The songs are so different with different meanings... _________________

Dark Funeral - Secrets of the Black Arts - The Dawn No More Rises
Chorus:
The dawn no more rises
Across the darkened horizons
Light no more shines
Over the kingdom of damnation
Sounds like:
Don't Touch My Raisins
Across the darkened horizons
Light no more shines
Over the kingdom of damnation |

Not metal, but the 4 Skins song "Evil" has the repetitious chorus of "evil, evil, evil, evil..."
But after a few repetitions it sounds like he's saying "go away".

I always used to hear the lyrics in the Sepultura song, 'Necromancer' as:
Necromancer,
Dirty fucker,
Necromancer,
Dirty fucker.
Actual lyrics:
Necromancer, Dead's invoker, Necromancer, Dead's invoker!
(the part at 2:28: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYLJJczTsqg ) |
Even knowing what they say, I still hear and sing it that way. _________________ If you are a false don't marry! Girlfriend is ok but only destructing anus from behind!!! - Fat Dagon

I don't hear the last bit at ALL. I've always heard:
| Quote: | This is your legacy
You are born to it
It will ever be
It will be on your heels
And we'll stay up late
And eat Cocoa Puffs |
Hear for yourselves!

He's cukoo for Cocoa Puffs. _________________ If you are a false don't marry! Girlfriend is ok but only destructing anus from behind!!! - Fat Dagon

When I was I younger and first really getting into Slayer I thought on Piece by Piece it was:
No emo shit, thrash is all I need
I thought man, they had emo kids back then too! And wrote it on a chalkboard in an empty classroom once...
Actual line:
No emotion, flesh is all I need |

No way, it's "Hater of Pantera"
I've always heard the last word in the first verse of "heartwork" as "Piranha Teeth " instead of " provocative " . |

Back when I was a teenager, I heard the ending of Slayer's "Raining Blood" as:
"Raining Blood!
From a lobster in the sky!
Three inch horror!
Dreaming destruction now I shout Raining Blood!" |
