This thread should be renamed "Death metal you can't fucking stand," and for me there's a ton.
More or less all technical/brutal DM shit. All NYDM (with a few exceptions, like Immolation and Incantation). More or less all now days DM that integrates hardcore (not actual hardcore of course) into the mix. I am also generally not a fan of overly guttural vocals (except Demilich and some Finnish stuff of course). The list goes on...

yeah, most of my friends who like that stuff like it for precisely that reason. I guess I stupidly take metal too seriously to find that humorous.

Every time this thread gets bumped I see it and try to think of an answer. I come up blank every time. It seems that whenever I dislike a band I just throw them all in the same pile in my mind. Mediocre blends with horrible into one forgettable mass. I can rank my favorite bands all day but I can't think of a "worst" band to save my life. Strange.

| Also, if you want to compare bands based on success and a well known fan base, Six Feet Under has to win. They have recorded endless amounts of retarded death metal, covered Back in Black in it's entirety, the most trite boring lyrics, songs about smoking weed, ICE-T rapping with them(which is really amusing), etc. |
