Can you even name any bands that haven't gone to shit who've been around for at least 10 years?
There are probably a handful, that's about it.

Not really. Most of those other bands still put the effort in to play their instruments/music properly live. Unlike Deicide.

I strongly disagree with opinions such as the ones that mentioned Broken Hope or Deicide, but mentioning Obituary in this thread is just damn retard. Seriously, you guys need to take a listen to "Internal bleeding" with the dildo out of the ass in order to appreciate real METAL that reeks of DEATH.
As for me, I'd say Six Feet Under for the old school days. We all know that the new school days are full of useless boring ultra-guttural hip-hop jumpdafuckup crap.

I find it wierd that people have mentioned bands that have nothing to do with Death Metal. (Wintersun as the latest example).
