Immolation by far... Absolutely flawless discography, every album has his own personality, and leaving the "cult factor" aside, Close to a World Below and Unholy Cult are maybe my 2 favorite Death Metal releases ever (Yeah, I know Altars of Madness, Seven Churches, Onward to Golgotha, Etc...).
Let's just say that Close and Unholy are the best "Post Cult" factor, greatest Death metal Releases.

Deicide, for the demos + 1st 3 albums... also they were the 1st death metal band I ever heard, back in middle school, and they scared the shit out of me. Easily could have voted for Autopsy, Incantation, Immolation or Morbid Angel though... or Nuclear Death, Arghoslent, Nocturnus...

I voted Incantation because they are one of my favorite bands period. But for American death metal Cianide and Nunslaughter aren't far behind. Neither is Immolation for that matter.
