I'm honestly quite surprised at this as well. I thought the majority of people on this forum liked more raw/violent/harsh/primitive/whathaveyou stuff.
Anyway, Canada for me too with Finland not far behind...

Norwegian Black Metal and Swedish Death Metal have to be the most overrated scenes. Well, aside from the few legendary bands.

Finland. In the past few years that's where it's at. Plus they have legendary bands:
Finland because it's the only country to have BOTH historical/fundamental/mythical bands AND a very active scene nowadays killing it all with recent/new awesome bands.
Sure there's a revival with Norway's Nidaros but as with Sweden and Greece it's all in the past mostly.
I love ANTAEUS but historically they came way after Beherit and Archgoat and even Horna so, France's ruled out.
Germany has KTHRSS for the kvlt and well, Ascension for recent act and... Well that's it AFAIK.
Italy have Mortuary Drape, Necromass and Mefitic recently and?
Spain... TEITANBLOOD IS FUCKING DEATH METAL MAGICK YOU MORONS
