From Tornado magazine 5:

Did you ever play any cover of them [Sarcofago] in the rehearsal room or so? Or other bands?
Black Winds: We've played lots of covers when rehearsing but not live.
Which covers did you do?
Black Winds: Hmmm, there was a couple of Bathory songs, Sodom. Even a Priest tune or two.
Traditional Sodomizer: I seem to remember playing "War" and "Equia mathor", I can't spell the name of that song.

haha nice. equimanthor is a great track.

Haha, it's Equimanthorn. And yeah, one of Bathory's finest songs imo alongside Enter The Eternal Fire and Raise The Dead.

I hope you realize I am just quoting Traditional Sodomizer here... I know how it's spelled, and did so earlier in the thread, thank you very much! Cool

I don't think any recordings of them covering Bathory exist.
Never heard of it, though I would kill to hear it.

I think the only way we would be able to hear them is if Blasphemy pulls a Mayhem and starts releasing a bunch of rehearsals from back in the day lol.

Mayhem did it because people were bootlegging them and making a good coin. The band most likely decided to release them and make some money themselves. But they were widely available. As for Blasphemy, no one heard the songs. I think if someone had them they would be bootlegged already.

Interesting topic, but I somehow can't imagine Blasphemy guys playing Priest. That's something I'd want to hear.

This was when Halford was still inside the closet.

Would be interesting to hear. Wonder if they did it in true Blasphemy style?

Are you referring to the Life Eternal CD?

No. I don't think that ever leaked out as Atilla was the only one with a copy if I remember correctly. And I think he had a hard time releasing it because of copyrights.

And with all honesty I don't know what the band decided to release to the public as I never followed them.
