Thought this might be of any interest here. No april's fool.

For non-German speakers:
On monday morning a huge fire occured in German pressing plant PALLAS GROUP (e.g. Eldorado), leaving nought but some walls remaining.
According to early reports, the complete pressing plant fell victim to the flames.
More recent reports revise that the production hall for CDs and DVDs was entirely destroyed while a neighboring hall, where all the vinyl production takes place, remained untouched by the flames. |

This is my educated guess:
Peaceville
Van
older Iron Pegasus releases
Moonfog when they were still pressing vinyl _________________ Your opinion is as insignificant as your existence.

Yes, I'm pretty sure about Van, too.
Also, speaking of myself and some friends, Bleak Bone Mortualia, Deviant Records and Sol Records. |

Old Iron Pegasus releases were pressed at GZ. It's the new ones which were pressed in another plant, which I suppose is the one caught on fire? Too bad if this is the plant Steamhammer/Peaceville used, their products were top notch, miles ahead anything has ever come out of GZ. _________________ Thread derailed

Fairly sure about Peaceville too. Shame, everything I have from both labels does sound really excellent. _________________ You can dispose of your guitar, Show No Mercy has been already been written. |

Older Iron Pegasus was definitely not GZ pressed. I'm talking about stuff like Zemial, Agatus, Sabbat envenom, evoke, etc. _________________ Your opinion is as insignificant as your existence.

I have the first press of Envenom and those two Zemial records in my hands right now. They're all pressed at GZ, check the matrix. _________________ Thread derailed

According to their website the vinyl production is not affected at all and will continue as usual. (http://www.pallas-group.de/news.php?action=displayNews&news_id=56)
If you mean the damage for the company (approx. an 8 digits Euro number), agreed. Highly traditional and experienced plant (established in 1948), providing excellent quality. |
